My Career Research

This is my blog on a research project for my career as a criminologist. Each page and post goes into describing my career i want to pursue and how i have come about doing this project on the computer. I have a link for the majors i was considering to get my degree and all the things you need, also the difficulties that i know i will have with this career and what i will need to work on. How I Get There

In order for me to become a criminologist, i will need to decide what type i'd like to become because there are a couple of minors i could take that would fit well with this degree, but it would all just depend in which path i want to take. I know once I turn 21 i would like to join the police academy, im not quite sure where yet, but in order to go in to the F.B.I i will need to have some experience in the field. I will need to look into different police academies along with good universities around there because i would still want to continue school.

Who Am I

I am a military brat, i have traveled everywhere which will eventually help me in becoming someone who works in the F.B.I because i would always have to travel to handle different cases, so I'm used to it so far, and i love it, i love seeing new things and being able to meet new people. I love helping people who are in need and i feel that we are always in need of police officers .

I am a very strong willed person when it comes to something that i want to do. I've wanted to go to school for this for a very long time and i will not let anything get in my way. I believe that anyone can accomplish anything they set there mind to, and this is one thing that im motivated about.

Introductory

After reading about becoming a criminologist, i learned alot such as what i'd need to do to become one and also my weaknesses that i would need to improve to advance in this career field. I've always known that when it comes to stress, it always gets the best of me, and as i've read so far is that you have to deal with alot of stress in the job dealing with the criminals and trying to keep track of them and making sure they dont commit another crime. You also need to be physically fit to be able to run after people, detain them, and keep your body in shape in general. There are alot of things that im not prepared for in this field but i believe reading all of this stuff has helped me understand everything that i need to accomplish.

I was surprised that jobs in this field have been cut drastically because there is always going to be crime and with the ecomonmy getting worse and worse crime does go up. I was also suprised by all the job fields in criminology i never realized what a degree in this could get you, which helps me out a bit if i want to change the area of criminology i want to go into.

What does being a criminal psychologist entail?

How do i become a criminal psychologist?

Why do i want to be a criminologist? I want to study criminology because i want to be able to understand why criminals do what they do, what makes them tick, and what events let up to it. I think it would be interesting to try to understand all of this and get a better insight. I think its an amazing thing to understand other people and how their brain works.

What do i hope to do within this field? I hope that some day that i will be able to join the FBI and be able to go out into the field. I hope that maybe i'd be able to take down some criminals along the way!

This video is about the the field of criminology and what you study such as the statistics and how the offender is like and the victims. It relates to my field because i would have to study all these things to be able to understand criminals and how they work.
